Neopets Species. Arguably, the most important part of Neopia is the Neopets themselves! There are currently 55 adoptable species of Neopets, ranging all the way from Aishas to Zafaras. Below you'll find the history of each species, along with some trivia and who the famous ones are. Jellyneo.net's Neopets Wardrobe allows you to try on Neopets clothing without owning the items, so you can try before you buy! Dark Cave Background.
That’s it, enjoy your new Magma Neopet from the Magma Pool!
Neopets Dark Cave
- You put them all in a lantern given to you at Lampwycks. When you have all eight worms, put them in the lantern and go to the dark cave on the Moltara magma map, you can find some Red Moltite at.
- Trading Post History. The farthest back our history goes is October 2014, and it may not be a complete lot history. As with the Trading Post on Neopets, always be wary of high asking prices on items that were previously cheaper.
- In Moltara, you can get a lantern from Lampwyck's Lights Fantastic, and collect glowing worms that spawn in Moltara (both the city and caves); once you have all ten, you can go into a dark cave and retrieve the mineral of moltite, which, when combined with miscellaneous gears that spawn in Moltara City and with some other objects, can form robot petpets.
Obsidian Quarry is down in the depths of steamy Moltara, which is a quarry full of obsidian. There, you can find obsidian. Yeah, that’s it.
Shiny Obsidian. Real exciting stuff.
WHERE IS IT?
The Obsidian Quarry can be found in Moltara. Simply click the mounds of obsidian in the bottom-left corner of Moltara’s homepage, as outlined here:
GET YOUR OBSIDIAN
Neopets Dark Cave
The Obsidian Quarry couldn’t be more cut and dry. When you arrive, you immediately pick up your piece of obsidian. You don’t have to click and buttons or do anything at all, besides leave, after you’ve gotten your obsidian.
You can only visit once a day. If you try and return for more obsidian, you’ll get this message:
OBSIDIAN CHEATS: NOW WHAT?
Obsidian is not a highly-sought after item in Neopia, considering it is so plentiful. It’s not worth much, but there are some interesting things you can do with it.
- Believe it or not, basic hunks of Shiny Obsidian do serve a purpose in Tangor’s Workshop. Here, you can pair your Shiny Obsidian with other robotic or Moltaran items to create some very interesting petpets! Check out our guide on Tangor’s Workshop to learn more about these recipes and how to obtain the other items you need to start crafting.
NOTES
Neopets Moltara Dark Cave
- Because the Obsidian Quarry is a daily that gives a Neopoint item, you cannot visit the quarry on your side account. To learn more about what you can and cannot do on side accounts, check out our Side Accounts Guide.
